Welcome to San Diego Last Chance Ranch, a non-profit animal rescue organization. Our mission is to find loving homes for animals of all species from around the world while educating the public on responsible pet ownership. We rely on the support of our volunteers and donors to provide essential services to pets in need, and we collaborate with similar organizations to make a greater impact. There is currently no adoption fees for our rescues but donations are always welcome. Thank you for visiting and supporting our cause!

Trixie is 2 years old, and is a sweet, timid cat. She likes to sit on your lap for attention. She came with a crushed paw which has healed, and asthma. She has adjusted to dogs and prefers adults. She likes butt scratches, belly rubs, and neck scratches. She needs a calm human and loves attention. She also wants to sleep in bed with you.
Lovey is about 2 years old she has healed from the physical trauma and abuse she endured in the shelter. She is super sweet and nervous until she gets to know you. But if you are mellow and calm she likes being cuddled next to you. Her favorite is getting her head or butt scratched. She would be best if housed with Meanie and no other cats. They are bonded
Matrix is 2 years old and feral. She has suffered human abuse in the shelter. She has healed and is still rejecting any form of touch. I am sure given time and patience she will come around. She comes out occasionally and looks out the window or people watches from the stairs.
Grandpa he is about 4 years old and likes attention. He belongs to another rescue and we are advertising him for them. He has FIV but can live a long healthy life.
​Meany is a year old. She is sweet and would like to be adopted with Lovey. She is now a very loving cat but gets spooked with quick movements or loud noises. She likes air kisses and neck scratches.
Midnight is 1-2 years old and is a sweet sensitive cat. She is looking for a calm person that will give her time to settle in. She is shy at first and then really likes to ask for attention and play time. She will talk to you when she wants attention as well as follow you around.
Bengal is 1 year old. She is a sweet girl that likes affection. She was adopted last year and then the lady moved and returned her. We are looking for a forever home that will keep her if they move but we always will take the cats back no matter how old they get. They should never have to suffer homelessness again.
Katarina is a kitten from another rescue that we are helping promote. She is sweet and gorgeous.

Kruella is a very sweet loving cat, about 2 years old, and is in San Bernardino at another rescue that we support. She can be delivered. She is loving and deserves a good home.
Sweetpea is about 5 years old and a sweet momma cat. She takes care of her babies even though they are weaned. She is positive for Leukemia but she can still live a long healthy life indoors only. She likes butt scratches and to follow you around.
Kelly is a sweet kitty that loves attention and is about 3 years old. She would like a family and doesn't mind other cats. She is in San Bernardino and can be delivered from the rescue we work with there.
Clara is a 4 year old Staffordshire terrier that is on the euthanasia list at the Santa Barbara shelter. I don't have any fosters to save this girls life. She is loving and affectionate and loves to cuddle. She is good with other dogs, hasn't been tested with cats, and loves kids. Please help me save this dogs life! I may be able to transport if you can foster or adopt her. If you foster and then back out I can't take her back so if you foster you can't back out. Let me know if you can help please asap!
Mini May is the sweetest most loving kitty. She loves to be picked up and snuggled in your arms. She is a food hound and just had a litter of kittens. Her kittens are weaned she is fixed, vaccinated, and ready for adoption. She also loves to play and is about 2-3 years old. She doesn't like other cats or dogs.
Sushi is a sweet adult male, approximately 3 years old. He likes attention and a loving environment. He wants a forever indoor home to feel safe in. He is currently in foster in San Fernando Valley and can be delivered to a good home. He had most of his teeth removed at the last dental.
Spot is one of Mini May's babies she turned 8 weeks old on May 22nd. She likes a good hug and to play. She also likes to ride around on your shoulder and sleep with you.
Sumo is one of Mini May's babies he turned 8 weeks old on May 22nd. Very sweet likes hugs and to play.
Sylvester is one of Mini May's babies he turned 8 weeks old on May 22nd. Loves to be cuddled and carried around.
Toes is one of Mini May's babies she turned 8 weeks old on May 22nd. Super snuggly and playful.
Vadar is one of Rocky's babies she turned 8 weeks old on June 1st. She is super sweet and getting playful. She has medium length fur and is so soft. She shy but when you pick her up she likes a hug. She would do better in a home with another cat for her to hang out with.
Rocky is 16 years old and has spent 15 years outside as feral. She actually likes chin scratches, and neck scratches now but still hisses when you approach. She did just birth this litter of joy and the dad is her bonded mate. They are both fixed now but must go together. She has FIV but can live a long healthy life.
This is DeNiro and his babies whom he protects with tooth and claw. He is bonded to Rocky and is also 16 years old. He is feral and not into getting pet. As long as you keep your distance he likes to come out lay in the middle of the floor and people watch. If you come too close to his hiding house he will take a swing at you through the hole. He makes Rocky happy and is not destructive. They are both potty box trained but probably need a covered litter box because they like to dig.
Solo was about 8 weeks old on June 14th and was found on a road in Kentucky. A nice truck driver pulled her off the road after almost hitting her and since he couldn't keep her he left her with me. She is a Russian Blue. We will get her spayed and vaccinated and look for a new home for her. June 14th was her official 8 week mark.
Quartz is an adorable vocal kitten Russian Blue baby that would like to have a home with another kitty friend to sleep and play with. She was born March 25th, 2025.
This is Sable he is sweet and loving and wants a mellow home. He is about 2 years old and doesn't appear to shred furniture with his claws. He would rather follow you around asking for a hug. He has FIV but can live a long healthy life.
Moose is a vibrant 8 month old puppy. He was rescued off the streets of LA where he was suffering from neglect and heat stroke in the custody of a homeless person. He is now in foster in Whittier CA looking for his special person. He is always happy and just needs love.
Cowboy is about 4 years old and likes attention. She gets along with other cats and is pretty mellow. He would like a forever home and love. He is currently in San Fernando Valley and can be delivered.
Amy is about 3 years old and a bit shy at first but warms up once she likes you. She is good with other cats and would like a loving home. She is in San Fernando Valley right now but can be delivered to a good home.

If there is no kitty in the home then she will need to be adopted out with another kitty friend. She is still shy and needs more socialization.

Splotch is 7 months old and was found with his brother in Hemet. He is cuddly and playful. He gets the zoomies and runs up and down the stairs. He is also goofy and lays in funny positions.

He can spray around male cats, but is cool with dogs. He is looking for a chill home where he can get lots of attention. He belongs to another rescue we support.
Meow-Woof is about 4 years old and lives in San Bernardino. He can be delivered! He is getting booted out of his home because his humans can't take him with them when they move. He is neutered vaccinated and loving. He will chew on cats so no cats in adoptive home please. Good with kids and other dogs. His humans are asking for $100 rehoming fee. Can someone give this guy a good forever home?

Helen is about a year and a half old, was relinquished from a lady who could not properly care for her and her kittens. She is the mother of Apollo, Athena, Aphrodite, and Artemis. She is currently pregnant again and will not be available until she weans her new litter of kittens and gets spayed and vaccinated.
Artemis is 6 months old and was relinquished from a lady who could not properly care for him. His siblings are Apollo, Athena, and Aphrodite. His Mom is Helen. He will not be available until he gets his eye checked, neutered, and vaccinated.
